Section 01 — Booking & payment

Booking & payment

How do I book?

Go to /book, pick a date on the calendar (rolling 90-day window — same-day OK if it's open), enter your info, sign the equipment waiver, and pay. That's the whole flow.

What does it cost and when am I charged?

$300 flat per overnight rental, plus Spokane sales tax (~8.9%) — so about $326.70 total. The full amount is charged at booking via Stripe. A separate $150 authorization hold is placed on your card 24 hours before pickup and released after a clean return.

What's the cancellation policy?

More than 72 hours before pickup: cancel or reschedule yourself for a full refund. Inside 72 hours: call us — owner discretion on accommodations. If we cancel for weather or equipment reasons, you get your choice of a full refund or a free reschedule.

Is the price different on weekdays vs. weekends?

No — $300 flat any day of the week. For Sunday events we hand off the kit Saturday 2–6 PM and you return Monday by 10 AM, still $300.

What payment methods do you take?

Stripe only — credit and debit cards. No Venmo, Zelle, or cash. You need to be 21+ to rent.
Section 02 — The equipment

The equipment

What's in the kit?

Elite Yard Master Plus 180" aluminum-framed screen, ViewSonic LS740HD 1080p outdoor laser projector, JBL Partybox 110 speaker, a 50 ft outdoor extension cord and 6-outlet strip, a Fire TV Stick 4K with USB-C and Lightning HDMI adapters, plus 4× 25 lb sandbags, stakes, mallet, gaffer tape, and a speaker stand.

How big is the screen?

180 inches diagonal — a true outdoor frame screen with an aluminum folding frame and a CineWhite UHD-B skin. It is not inflatable.

How loud is the speaker — is it enough for a backyard?

The JBL Partybox 110 puts out 160W with a 12-hour battery. Plenty for a typical backyard audience of 10–25 people.

What are the power requirements?

One standard 120V outlet within roughly 50 ft of where you'll set up. We supply the cord and a 6-outlet strip.
Section 03 — Setup

Setup

How long does setup take?

Plan on about 30 minutes with two people for the first time — faster once you've done it once. You'll get a 10-minute walkthrough at pickup and a quick-start card in the case.

Can I use it indoors?

Yes. Indoor use is fine and we actively rent in December and January for holiday parties, kids' birthdays, and school events.

What about underground utilities (811)?

You're responsible for confirming the staking area is clear of underground utilities and irrigation. The default anchor is the four sandbags (no ground penetration). Only use the included stakes once you've confirmed the area is clear — call 811 if you need a locate.
Section 04 — Weather

Weather

What's the 72-hour rule?

More than 72 hours before pickup, you can cancel or reschedule yourself for a full refund. Inside 72 hours, refunds are at owner discretion based on the situation.

Is there a wind cutoff?

Yes — 12 mph sustained or 18 mph gust. Past that we cancel for safety. The 180" frame screen needs the mandatory 4× 25 lb sandbag anchor on every setup.

Who decides if a rental is cancelled for weather?

We do, for safety calls (wind, severe weather, smoke/AQI). You decide for personal-preference reschedules. If we cancel, you choose: full refund or free reschedule.
Section 05 — Damage & insurance

Damage & insurance

How does the $150 hold work?

We place a $150 authorization hold on your card 24 hours before pickup. If the kit comes back clean, it's released same-day after inspection. Damage at or under $150 is captured from the hold using a published damage cost sheet. Damage above $150 is invoiced to the card on file.

Am I responsible for the equipment while I have it?

Yes. Once you sign for it at pickup, you're responsible for the kit until return. We carry general liability and inland marine insurance on the gear, but the rental waiver puts equipment responsibility on the customer while in possession.

Can I get a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?

Yes, free on request. Check the COI box at booking — useful for HOAs, churches, school events, and corporate venues. We can usually issue same-day.
Section 06 — Movie licensing

Movie licensing

Do I need a license to show a movie?

For a private backyard event with friends and family — no. For anything public (HOA community night, fundraiser, ticketed event, corporate event) — yes, you'll need a one-night public performance license from Swank, Criterion, or an equivalent provider. We don't sell or arrange licensing. That's on you.

Can I show anything I want?

We don't enforce content restrictions, but you're responsible for the content you screen and any licensing it requires.
Section 07 — Other

Other

What's your service area?

Spokane metro. Because it's pickup-only, we don't have a strict delivery radius — but you'll need to drive to our place in Spokane to grab the case.

Can I rent for more than one night?

Saturday → Monday spans are built in for Sunday events at the same $300. Longer multi-day rentals aren't a launch offering — email us and we'll see what we can do.

HOA, church, school, or corporate event — anything different?

Same $300 base. Check the COI box at booking so we can issue your certificate of insurance ahead of time. For larger 200+ events the 180" screen may be undersized — get in touch and we'll be honest about fit.
